About Us
The City of Platteville SRTS program began in September 2008, when Platteville was awarded state funding to create a SRTS plan for the City.  Platteville community members and the Community Safe Routes Committee have since been working together to plan safer routes to Platteville K-8 schools, to encourage Platteville students to bike or walk to school more often, and to educate community members on safety issues relating to walking and biking.

Now that the Safe Routes to School Plan is complete, the Community Safe Routes Committee will continue to meet monthly (they meet the third Monday of each month at 6pm- view the Committee Information Page for more Information).  They will be implementing the plan and continuing to support the Boltage program at the Platteville Middle School.

The Safe Routes Committee, with help from various community partners, created a recreational guide for the Platteville area. The guide connects you with trails, parks, activities, and recreational information to help get you fit and enjoying the city's ammenities.
